She Stole My Fiancé… So the Mafia Don Chose Me Instead

At the age of 16, I was adopted by a regular family. My younger sister, Regina Capasso, was taken in by a mafia don, resulting in her becoming the principessa of Italia’s most powerful mafia family. Unexpectedly, Regina was cast out by the don in her first month of getting adopted. I, on the other hand, got into a prestigious university thanks to my good grades.

I rose to fame in the AI industry, married my adopted brother Dario Digona, and lived a happy life. Yet, on the very day of the wedding, Regina rushed out from the crowd, grabbed a knife, stabbed it through my heart. When I opened my eyes again, I had been reborn to the day we were adopted. Regina made a decision completely different from her previous life.

She rushed into Dario’s arms while gazing at me gloatingly. “You should have a taste of what it feels like to be a principessa, Livia.” It turned out that she was also reborn. I looked at Dario, my husband in my last life, expecting him to say something, but instead, he shielded Regina like a prized possession.  Stay away from my sister.

His cold gaze turned to me. Dario had no memories of his last life. To him, I was just a stranger. Just then, the Rolls-Royce sent by the mafia family stopped in front of me. The butler opened the rear door and invited me to get in.  Signorina, please get in the car.  In our last life, when we had to choose, Regina had eagerly hopped into the Rolls-Royce.

She had turned around and said to me smiling, “Livia, I’ll be the principessa. You go live that poor life. I’m still too young for that kind of life. You’ll suffer for me, right?” But this time, she linked arms with Dario and watched smugly as I got into this Rolls-Royce. “I hope you can live a little longer in that cool family.

” The car slowly started moving. The butler, sitting in the front seat, silently observed me through the rearview mirror. About 10 minutes into the drive, he passed me a file.  I’m the Vigione family’s butler. Here are some things to keep in mind when you get to Vigione estate. The mafia is all about rules, so be careful not to step out of line.

I’ll keep that in mind. The car soon arrived at Vicino estate. I followed the butler into the luxurious mansion, which looked like a palace. Not far away, a tall man stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, his back to us. The butler stepped forward and bowed respectfully.  Don Vicino, she’s here.  The tall man turned around, a cup of coffee in his hand.

His gaze swept over me, taking me in. His deep voice rang out as he sat down on the couch, waving me over.  Come here. What’s your name?  Livia.  No need to change your name. Just take the Vicino surname. I’m your papa, Alano Vicino. From now on, this is your home.  He gestured to the beautiful woman by his side.  This is your mama, Immalida Totini.

If you need anything, just tell her. Don’t be shy.  Thank you, papa, mama. The butler took me to my room. As I stepped inside, I was instantly enveloped in a cocoon of warm pink. Everything in the room was on a level that most people could only dream of, and yet here I was, obtaining it all so effortlessly from my adoptive parents.

I was smiling, daydreaming about the bright future ahead, when suddenly the door was kicked open with a loud bang. My brain froze as I turned around and saw a massive mastino charging toward me. Just as the mastino knocked me to the ground, I noticed a young man leaning lazily against the doorframe. He was part of Vicino, Alano’s only son, looking at me with disdain.

The mastino he brought was known for its ferocity. In the mafia world, it was often raised as a fighting dog. But now, I was sitting up, holding the Mestino in my lap. Pardo’s expression shifted. I smiled lightly.  Why didn’t Shado attack you?  In my last life, to ensure my safety, I’d lived and slept with a Mestino for years.

I knew how to handle it better than Dario. I took some jerky out of my pocket and fed it to the dog, which then sat quietly focused on chewing its treat. And then, I looked up at Pardo. Nice to meet you, Pardo. I’m Livia. Pardo’s initial disdain turned into curiosity. After a while, he scoffed.  Shado, let’s go.  The next few days were hectic.

I woke up every morning to run drills. The driver took me to the shooting range and boxing ring. Even after returning home, there were tutors to teach me about the family history and how to become a mafia princess who is useful to the family. A month later, Imelda gave me a satisfied smile. You did great. Pardo has been thoroughly spoiled by his papa and me.

He’s quite naive, so I’ll need you to guide him whenever necessary.  Without a moment of hesitation, I immediately responded.  Once he becomes the Don, you’ll be the underboss. What do you think?  Sure, Mama.  Obviously, I had gained Imelda’s approval. Imelda handed me a card, gave me a day off, and had the driver take me to the city sector to buy something I liked.

As soon as I stepped out of the car, I spotted a familiar face, Regina. She was wearing a red and white mascot costume holding the oversized mascot head with one hand while using a flyer to wipe the sweat off her forehead with the other. Her pale face had turned bright red from the heat, yet her face was filled with happiness and pride.

On this day in her previous life, she had been thrown out of the Vicino family and had since lived a vagrant, miserable life. She naturally assumed that I was the one suffering these torments. A young man was rushing toward her. It was Dario. He too was holding a thick stack of flyers.

He hurried over to Regina and used the flyers to fan her.  Regina, are you okay? If you’re tired, we can go home.  Hearing the concern in his voice, Regina weakly smiled.  I’m fine, Dario. But my poor sister isn’t that lucky. Right now, she’s probably been kicked out of the Vicino family, turned into a homeless beggar, wearing ragged clothes, and can’t even afford a single meal. That’s so poor.

Just as Regina was sneering and mocking, she saw me dressed in an elegant gown and carrying a Hermes handbag.  Who was it you said was going to be a beggar, huh?  Regina’s face froze.  Loria? You haven’t been kicked out? No freaking way!  What did you do to my sister?  bitten by Pardo’s dog, but I came out without a scratch.

In her past life, she had been kicked out of the family long ago. Well, I somehow thrived in that cutthroat, bloodsucking mafia family. Regina stared at my beautiful dress and my Hermes bag in disbelief. Jealousy and madness were written all over her face.  do anything because she got a little taste of the good life.  Dario, she didn’t do anything because she got a little taste of the good life.

She actually survived in a mafia family? But who’s to say she won’t do it  Ignoring him, I bypassed them and walked into the mall.  about her.  Behind me, I heard Regina’s voice dripping with fake concern.  Regina, you’re a sweet girl. Whatever happens, I’ve got your back.  As soon as I stepped into the mall, their voices disappeared entirely.

I used Imelda’s bank card to purchase many luxury goods. As soon as I returned to the living room, I heard a  sharp voice cutting through the air.  You really went all out, huh? Do you really think you’re the principessa of the Vicino family now?  I ignored his mocking tone and sweetly greeted him.

Pardo, I got you a gift. With that, I took the box and placed it on the coffee table in front of Pardo. Go ahead, open it. See if you like it. He sneered as he opened the box.  You’re from the slums. What kind of gift are you going to pick out? Don’t tell me you brought back some junk.  Young Master Pardo has always had very high standards.

Is that woman trying to suck up to him? Let’s just wait and see her gift get thrown straight to the trash, my Pardo.  The latest gaming laptop.  When they saw how surprised and pleased Pardo looked, those maids who had been talking trash completely froze. I couldn’t help but laugh to myself, guessing I picked the right gift after all.

Although a laptop like this wasn’t much to the Vicino family, Pardo had been denied his allowance because of his lack of ambition, and he couldn’t afford the latest version himself. When he noticed my smile, his expression immediately hardened, and he tried to act indifferent as he grabbed the box.  You really know how to win people over.  With that, he hurried off clutching the box.

At dinner, I stepped into the dining room to find both Imelda and Pardo already seated. When Imelda saw me, she waved me over.  Laura, I’m seriously impressed. Your tutor said you already know way more than any high school curriculum. You can skip the entrance exam entirely.  Pardo just ate without looking up, but he didn’t object. I smiled.

Okay, Mom. On the first day of school, Pardo and I sat in the car. He glared at me.  Listen up. Don’t tell anyone at school that you’re my sister. Else.  I nodded at Pardo. As he got out of the car, Pardo shot me another warning look before heading into the school. I just said nothing, then turned away. As I turned, I found myself face-to-face with Dario and Regina at the school gate.

Regina had clearly seen how Pardo had treated me earlier, and her face was full of contempt.  Look at that. I knew it. You’ll never be one of them. I’m so worried about you. Who knows how many more days you’ve got left.  I didn’t even want to deal with her, but Regina just kept going on and on bragging.  My parents treat me so well.

Dario even more so. He tutors me after school and brings me all sorts of snacks. Oh, and speaking of which, Dario got first place on the entrance exam. What about you? I don’t remember seeing your name on the rankings. Don’t tell me you didn’t even make the top 500 rankings.  Regina had no idea that with my past life memories, all this school stuff was easy for me.

She also didn’t know I skipped the entrance exam entirely, since my knowledge made it totally unnecessary. I didn’t bother correcting her. You’re right. I really didn’t make the rankings. That only made her more smug. Boo, she let out a  fake sigh. See, I told you. A cold-blooded family like that would never let you study.

They’re just using you as a human shield for Pardo.  Regina, she’s your sister, but you’re not the same anymore. Don’t waste too much time talking to someone with bad grades  Regina smiled, pleased.  Fine then, sis. Good luck.  They finally left, and I got some peace. But Regina spread rumors about me all over school.

After class, I got stopped at the gate.  Heard you bought your way into this school and you’re a total slaughter. Who’s backing you? If you can’t tell us you’re going to get it.  As they threatened me, Pardo stood 10 m away, just watching to see how I’d deal with it. I turned to face the students blocking my way and said calmly, “Why is it that just because someone calls me a slacker, you all believe it? If I told you I was Superman’s sister, would you buy that, too?” When I said the bit about being Superman’s sister, Pardo froze for 2

seconds, then let out a low chuckle. The other onlookers couldn’t help but burst out laughing.  She actually said she’s Superman’s sister.  Hilarious.    Meanwhile, the students who had been threatening me clearly didn’t look too happy. How about we all calm down? Whether I’m qualified to be at this school or not, we’ll find out when exam results come in, won’t we? The students looked at each other, clearly second-guessing themselves.

After all, no one had any real proof that I didn’t deserve to be at this school.  Fine, then. We’ll wait and see what ranking you get on the exams.  Just like that, I got through the whole mess caused by Regina’s rumors. Pardo’s eyes held a hint of appreciation that was hard to notice. He gave me a deep look, then turned and walked out of the classroom.

When I got to the school gate, I ran into Regina again. “Sister, what’s the point of fooling them like that? Once exam results come out, won’t everyone see you’re just a slacker? When the students realize you tricked them, they’ll be even angry. You don’t seriously think Pardo will protect you when that day comes, do you? I clearly saw how he just stood by and watched today. Stop dreaming.

” I gave a calm smile. “So, I’m just supposed to wait for the punishment that comes with being a liar? Is that it? Fine. I’ll wait.” Ignoring the look on Regina’s face, I walked to the front gate. A luxury car was waiting there for me. And Pardo was already sitting inside. After I got in, Pardo gave me a half smile and spoke.

Superman’s sister, huh? Is that right?  Pardo’s tone was no longer as icy and contemptuous as before. A faint blush spread across my cheeks. Since then, our relationship had slowly softened, and we could even exchange a few words in the car now. One day, after a month had gone by, I waited in the car for an hour, but Pardo never showed up.

His phone was unreachable. It suddenly hit me. In my last life, under peer pressure, he agreed to race in the mountains and ended up in a car accident that cost him both legs. Confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Earlier that day, some classmates had mentioned a race. The location of the race was the mountain area where Pardo had crashed and lost his legs in my last life.

No, I couldn’t let him get into another accident. I started frantically banging on the seat, urging the driver to take me to the northern mountain range. By the time we arrived, the race had already started. Several sports cars zoomed past me, and I spotted Pardo’s red car swerving out of control as it crashed INTO  THE MOUNTAINSIDE.

PARDO! I RUSHED OUT. Enduring the searing heat from the car fire, I dragged Pardo from the driver’s seat.  Just as I pulled him out, someone slapped me to the ground.  You’re his sister, right? Do you think he can walk out of here alive after crossing me?  I looked up and saw the man responsible for Pardo’s accident in my last life, Monsio Sessa, the future Don of the Sessa family.

A massive hand gripped my hair, dragging me away from Pardo. I swung back with a slap, yelling, “The Vitichi family will never let you get away with this.” I hoped to intimidate them with the family name. But, another slap sent me crashing to the ground.  You WHO DO YOU THINK YOU’RE YELLING AT? I DO WHAT I WANT. I’M NOT AFRAID OF THE VITICHI FAMILY.

I lay there, disoriented, when I saw a figure approaching through my blurry vision. It was Dario. I felt a flicker OF HOPE. DARIO, HELP ME. Dario turned at the sound of my voice. And for a moment, he hesitated.  But then I saw Regina pulling him away, keeping him from coming over.

Dario, let’s go. These people are mafia members. We shouldn’t get involved in this crap.  Dario hesitated for a moment, then walked away with Regina. He never once glanced at me. Monsio sneered as he looked down at me.  Stop dreaming. No one’s coming to help you today.  He took the wrench from his man and grinned maliciously as he approached me.

I’ve grown up with no one ever daring to touch me. But you you’re about to learn the price of crossing me.  With that, he swung the wrench toward my head with full force.    No! As the wrench came crashing down, I squeezed my eyes shut expecting the pain to hit, but it never came. Pardo had thrown himself in front of me at the last second. A grunt echoed in the air.

The wrench slammed into Pardo’s back. Blood spilled from his mouth and dripped onto me. Pardo! Pardo, wake up! I watched helplessly as Pardo fell from my arms.    Shut up!  Monsieur grabbed my hair and dragged me up from the ground.  Neither of you is leaving today.  I tugged desperately at his hand and said, “He’s the Vitruchio family’s only heir.

If you kill him, the Vitruchio family will never forgive you. I’ve already contacted the butler.” If you leave now, you can still make it. As soon as I said that, his grip tightened around my neck cutting off my breath. I couldn’t speak. I could only watch as his cruel face leaned closer to mine.  Who are you fooling? Today, you’re going to know the price of crossing me.

Monsieur tossed me aside then motioned to his men. They surrounded Pardo and kicked him mercilessly. Blood poured onto the ground in bright, shocking splashes. My hands shook uncontrollably and I tried to push myself up. Desperate to stop them. In my panic, my hand brushed against something. It was a gun. I raised the gun and aimed it at the men.

Let go of my brother.  Seeing the gun, they slowly backed off. Once they scattered, I rushed forward to pick Pardo up.  Pardo, are you okay? I’m getting you out of here.  I managed to hoist Pardo onto my back. Despite the pain radiating through my body, I rushed down the mountain. I just needed to get to the bottom of the mountain, we’d be safe.

But just when I was a step away from the bottom, I felt a tug from behind me. Someone grabbed Pardo and dragged him back to the ground. His wounds were aggravated and he coughed up blood. Barely able to breathe, I turned to see Mansio’s cruel smile.  You really think you can leave?  His men closed in around us and started laughing.

A massive scarred man stepped forward. Although I had trained in boxing, facing this giant was beyond my ability.  me. Go.  Pardo’s weak voice reached me. I grabbed his arm, holding onto him tightly.  No, I won’t leave alone. We’ll leave together.  Mansio slowly clapped.  Such touching sibling affection.  His eyes glinted with malice as he mocked us.

Let me make the decision for you. Neither of you is leaving.  He waved his hand and the scarred man kicked us to the ground. The surrounding men closed in. I heard iron rods scraping against the ground and saw someone pull out a gun. I threw myself on top of Pardo, shielding him. Pardo couldn’t get hurt, not now, not ever.

I repeated those words in my mind, bracing for the pain. Then a loud bang rang out, and the iron rod of the person at the front fell to the ground. It was the Vicinos. They had arrived.  Who dares to lay a hand on the Vicino family’s young Don and Principessa?  With a few gunshots, they took down all of Manchio’s men.

I urgently grabbed the butler to take Pardo to the hospital.  Pardo isn’t going to make IT IF WE DON’T HURRY!  PARDO HAD ALREADY been severely injured in the car accident. If he didn’t get treatment soon, his life would be at risk. I couldn’t let my thoughts go any further. Unease clouded my mind. After the butler finally got Pardo into the operating room, I felt my racing heart slow down.

Suddenly, everything went black, and I lost consciousness. When I woke up, a full day had passed. I opened my eyes and found Imelda sitting beside my hospital bed, holding my hand.  Lowry, you’re finally awake. Do you feel pain anywhere?  What about Pardo? How is he?  At the mention of Pardo, Imelda’s eyes darkened with a glint of anger.

He’s in the ICU. The doctor said as long as he wakes up, he’ll be fine. This isn’t the end. Your papa and I will make sure the Sessa family pays for what they’ve done.  Before I could respond, a doctor entered the room with the news that Pardo had regained consciousness. Imelda and I rushed out of the ward.

Don’t worry. Mr. Viccino’s leg injuries were severe, but he was brought in on time. His legs have been saved. If it had been any later, the outcome could have been much worse. Now, all he needs is rest.  Upon hearing that, I finally let out a sigh of relief. I finally changed Pardo’s fate of being crippled in his past life.

Three days later, Pardo was moved to a regular ward. Alano scolded him for his recklessness, but Pardo didn’t seem to care. His eyes were fixed on me.  Livia, how are you? Are you all right?  This was the kindest tone I had ever heard him speak to me since I joined the Viccino family. It wasn’t just me, Alano and Imelda were equally taken aback.

With one hand, Imelda pulled me to the bedside and she stroked Pardo’s face with the other.  You can’t be so reckless anymore. Once you’re discharged, you need to study hard with Livia and catch up on the training you missed. After you graduate high school, you’ll be ready for family duties.  Every time they mentioned waiting until high school graduation to join the family business, Pardo would usually protest.

But this time, he nodded obediently. He turned his gaze back to me.  All right. I’ll do it with Livia.  Imelda’s grip tightened on my shoulder. At that moment, I truly felt like I had a family. Alano made sure to deal with the Sessa family once and for all. He joined forces with other mafia families to take control of all Sessa family resources, avenging both Pardo and me.

Pardo spent a month in the hospital, and I took a leave of absence from school to stay with him. During that time, I helped him catch up on high school courses and boxing theory. When Pardo was discharged and returned to school, it happened to coincide with the upcoming exams. After the exams, we walked out of the school gate, only to run into two people I hated, Dario and Regina.

Seeing us, Regina feigned surprise and asked, “You’re actually here for the exam?” “I heard you were badly injured. Are you okay?” I ignored her and pulled Pardo to walk past them.  Liva.  Dario called out to me. He didn’t wear his usual disdainful expression. Instead, he looked somewhat guilty.  Are you okay?  I remembered the day he had turned away coldly.

Even a stranger wouldn’t have just walked off like that. My feelings for him from my previous life finally withered away.  I’m fine.  I replied flatly. Just as we were about to walk away, Dario stopped me again. But Pardo couldn’t take it anymore and kicked him to the ground.  Don’t you dare lay a hand on my sister, unless you have a death wish.

Dario clutched his stomach, clearly wanting to say something, but Regina stepped up to hold him back.  Dario, let’s go. Just ignore them.  As he hesitated, Regina dragged him away. Pardo spat in their direction.  Who do they think they are to talk to my sister?  I couldn’t help but laugh as I pulled him along.

Enough, Pardo. Let’s go home.  Okay. I’m telling you this exam was a breeze for me. And my boxing skills have definitely improved a lot.  I nodded seriously. I believe you. When the exam results were announced, Pardo soared into the top 10 into the top 10 at school. And I was the number one.  Regina went wild, storming into the principal’s office to demand an investigation.

Even Dario couldn’t stop her. She smugly warned me.  Even if you’re from the Vicino family, if they find out you cheated, you’ll both be expelled.  Dario grabbed her, his anger flaring as he demanded that she apologize to me. Regina snapped.  Dario, YOU’RE MY BROTHER. WHY ARE YOU SIDING WITH HER? Do you have feelings for her?  Dario didn’t say anything.

Regina, in a fit of rage, SCREAMED AT HIM.  FINE! I WON’T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS!  SOON AFTER, Pardo and I were summoned to the principal’s office. After the school conducted its investigation, it was clear that neither Pardo nor I had cheated. On the contrary, Regina was expelled for spreading rumors and causing a scene at school.

Why? It’s them. It’s their fault. WHY SHOULD I BE EXPELLED?  Regina went wild, attempting to assault the school administrators, accusing the teacher of taking bribes from the Viceno family and targeting Dario. She demanded that the school expel the teacher. In the heat of the argument, she accidentally injured the teacher.

Landing herself in a juvenile detention center. As her brother, Dario, became an outcast, subjected to bullying. Dario was so worn out from the bullying that his grades plummeted, leading to a string of warnings from his homeroom teacher. If he couldn’t get his scores back up, he’d be expelled. Amid the gossip, Pardo and I were in the middle of a heated debate over a math problem.

I felt a burning gaze and looked up to find Dario watching us. He looked frail and haggard now. I was so focused on convincing Pardo about the problem that I didn’t spare Dario another glance. As graduation day approached, both Pardo and I began taking over family affairs. We were immersing ourselves in learning to manage the family business, leaving us no time to worry about anyone else.

On graduation day, everyone was celebrating. Pardo rushed home to prepare for the graduation party. As I stood by the school gate, I saw a familiar figure waiting for me. Dario? He had lost so much weight. His cheeks were sunken and his overall appearance was pitiful. He slowly walked toward me and asked,  Which college are you going to?  I was taken aback.

What does it matter to you?  I distinctly remembered how he had always despised me in this life. Even going as far as forbidding Regina from approaching me. After a moment of silence, he hesitated before speaking again.  I’ve been having this recurring dream lately. In it, you’re my sister and we even get married.

We were so happy.  He looked at me with such hopeful eyes that I was briefly dazed. He must have remembered his last life, too. But, unfortunately, I gave him a faint smile.  You said it yourself. It’s just a dream.  Ignoring his shattered expression, I walked toward the car waiting for me. And so, I finally severed ties with my last life and stepped into a brand new future that was all mine.

not now, not ever.

I repeated those words in my mind, bracing for the pain. Then a loud bang rang out, and the iron rod of the person at the front fell to the ground. It was the Vicinos.
