Kim Zolciak and Boyfriend Kyle Mowitz React After Their Exes Kroy Biermann and Jillian Green Confirm New Romance

Kim Zolciak is speaking out after an unexpected romantic development involving her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann — and the ex-wife of her current boyfriend, Kyle Mowitz.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 48, and Mowitz were spotted together on Monday, Aug. 17, just one day after Biermann, 40, and Jillian Green were photographed kissing following a hike in Alpharetta, Georgia.

The connection immediately attracted attention because of the unusual relationship dynamic: Zolciak is dating Mowitz, while their respective exes, Biermann and Green, now appear to be romantically involved with each other.

When Zolciak and Mowitz were approached and asked about the situation, the reality star made it clear that she was not particularly bothered by the romance itself.

“I don’t care. We don’t care,” Zolciak said in a video published by TMZ.

However, she added that she had concerns extending beyond the new couple.

“I’m just very worried about his little girls,” she said.

Mowitz was also asked whether he believed Biermann and Green might have started seeing each other as an act of retaliation or spite.

“I don’t think they’re doing it out of spite,” he responded.

Zolciak then offered a sharper assessment of Biermann’s possible motivation.

“I mean, I’ve provided for Kroy for 10 years, so I’m sure he just wants another [provider],” she said.

The latest drama began Sunday, Aug. 16, when Biermann and Green were spotted together in Alpharetta, Georgia.

The pair were photographed kissing after going on a hike, effectively confirming that there was a romantic connection between them.

The sighting immediately became notable because both are closely connected to Zolciak and Mowitz through their previous marriages.

Zolciak and Biermann are still navigating the fallout from their turbulent breakup and ongoing divorce proceedings, while Mowitz and Green are also going through a divorce.

Rather than avoiding questions about the new relationship, Zolciak and Mowitz addressed it publicly the following day.

Mowitz appeared unwilling to frame the romance as revenge, while Zolciak used the opportunity to take another swipe at her estranged husband.

The exchange was the latest development in a divorce saga that has become increasingly contentious over the past several years.

Kim and Kroy’s Marriage Fell Apart in 2023

Zolciak and Biermann initially separated in May 2023 after 12 years of marriage.

The split quickly attracted widespread attention, particularly because the couple had spent years presenting their relationship and family life on reality television.

Their separation did not immediately become permanent.

In July 2023, only a few months after divorce proceedings began, Zolciak and Biermann called off the divorce.

The reconciliation proved short-lived.

One month later, in August 2023, Biermann filed for divorce again.

Since then, the former couple have been involved in an increasingly difficult and highly public legal battle involving finances, their home and, most significantly, custody of their children.

They share four minor children: Kroy Jr., 14, Kash, 13, and 12-year-old twins Kaia and Kane.

Zolciak also has two older daughters from previous relationships.

More recently, the dispute between Zolciak and Biermann intensified over custody of their four children.

In June, Zolciak filed a motion requesting an emergency court hearing and accused Biermann of failing to properly care for the children while they were in his custody.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Zolciak alleged that immediate court intervention was necessary because the minor children were “at risk of ongoing mental and physical abuse” by Biermann.

The allegations came after a judge granted Biermann primary physical custody of their four children.

Biermann had previously argued in court that Zolciak was “unstable and unfit.”

Despite Biermann receiving primary physical custody, the former couple were ordered to continue sharing joint legal custody.

The conflicting allegations have made the custody dispute one of the most serious elements of their divorce.

Neither side’s allegations automatically establish the claims as fact, but the filings show just how deeply fractured their relationship has become since their first separation in 2023.

Kim Previously Accused Kroy of Cheating

Zolciak has also publicly claimed that alleged infidelity played a major role in the collapse of their marriage.

During BravoCon in November 2025, she spoke with Entertainment Tonight about what she described as the “final straw” in her relationship with Biermann.

According to Zolciak, that final breaking point was his alleged cheating.

At BravoCon, Zolciak appeared on a panel alongside fellow reality stars Brittany Cartwright, Denise Richards and Luann de Lesseps.

Kim Says She and Kyle Bonded Over Their Divorces

According to Zolciak, she and Mowitz initially connected because they were both experiencing painful marital breakdowns.

She said they were “both going through divorces for the exact same reason.”

“We bonded over horrible circumstances,” she explained.

That shared experience apparently became the foundation for a much closer relationship.

Their romance has since developed to the point that Zolciak now describes Mowitz not only as her boyfriend but also as one of the most important people in her life.

During the Aug. 17 encounter, she praised his personality and his relationship with her children.

Zolciak called Mowitz the “funniest person I know.”

“That’s my favorite thing [about him],” she said.

She also emphasized how important it is to her that Mowitz has formed a positive bond with her children.

“He loves my kids so much, and my kids love him, and I think that’s super important,” she explained.

For Zolciak, that connection appears to be a major reason she feels optimistic about the relationship.

“He’s just my best friend,” she added.

“We’ve been through a lot together. It’s only up from here, though.”
